This is probably one of our favorite spots! What makes it perfect is that you
can arrive, park the car and do everything by public transport, or by walking.
If the weather permits, do take a stroll in the gardens behind the hotel, or
venture down to Alexandra Road, the "food street" for lunch or dinner. As for
the hotel, it's comfortable, clean, well managed and maintained, and the staff
is always friendly and kind. The beds are comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom
are spacious and if you have a room in the back you look out onto Minoru Park
But that's not the only thing: this hotel is also located within walking
distance of a large variety of Asian restaurants, a large mall with a good food
court, the Skytrain (20 minutes and you're in downtown Vancouver) and bus
stations, and at a ten minute drive by car to Steveston, a cute fishing village
and location of a TV show called Once Upon A Time (if that is something you're
interested in). The hotel offers parking underground, breakfast (eggs, sausages,
breads, cakes, oatmeal etc), and also has a vending machine in case you get
hungry. Can definitely recommend this for a long weekend or a city trip!

We stayed here for 3 nights before going sightseeing. A very good clean hotel
with very helpful staff and close to all amenities. Five minutes from Richmond
shopping centre and Sky train. Would stay here again

My wife and I had an early morning flight from YVR so chose to stay near the
airport. Just 10 minutes away on the free shuttle, our room was clean and well-
equipped, the bed was comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. I would
highly recommend this hotel for a moderately- priced overnight stay.

We stayed at the hotel for one night because a friend lives in Richmond. Great
choice. First, we had requested an early checkin after an early morning flight
from Toronto. We arrived four hours early and were very pleasantly surprised
that our room was ready. This allowed us more time to spend in Vancouver, where
we were tourists for the rest of the day. A 10 minute walk to the terminus
station of the Skytrain and a 30 minute train ride for less than $3 got us to
the Waterfront and from there to Stanley Park for the same fare. This leads to
the title of the review, Why pay the high hotel prices in Vancouver if for less
than $6 round trip one can get a great night's sleep in Richmond. There was a
very nice Irish pub, Ceili's, diagonally across the street from the hotel.
The beds were fabulously comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. Breakfast
included hot waffles, toast, cold hard boiled eggs, cereal choices, great coffee
and a few other items. Compared to many hotels, this was not bad. The street
also housed several major hotels, so there must be something good about the
area! Definitely we will be back when visiting Vancouver again.

We recently spent two nights here en route to Toronto. We were on a budget and
were pleasantly surprised by this hotels value for money. It has everything you
need and the rooms were comfortable and clean with a very large and comfy bed!
This was very welcome after a long flight from Sydney. Free wifi and breakfast
was also included in the room rate, fairly basic but perfectly adequate. Staff
were very friendly. Location was superb, a very short walk from a large mall and
the train station. We also took advantage of the free airport shuttle which was
always prompt with a good service. Cannot fault this hotel, would highly

Comfortable beds, helpful staff, decent breakfast, and not expensive! Another
pleasant surprise was the park right next door. Minoru park is worth a good half
hour walk. The only slight minus was the shuttle bus was a bit dusty smelling
inside. Bottom line is that I would stay there again for sure.
