Blue Water Cafe + Raw Bar Reviews
|This was our second visit to this restaurant. . . .first time was three
years ago - newly in love. . . .second time newly married and still madly in
love. We saved Blue Water Cafe for our last night in Vancouver and it did not
disappoint. We really did save the best for last. The seafood tasting for two
was divine. My main plate of Char was cooked to perfection and all food on the
plate created a harmonious flavour sensation in my mouth. I have to say that the
cheese selection was slim. I would have preferred more choices (we love our
after dinner cheese plate!). The ice cream that was included with the creme
brûlée dessert (which we shared) was awesome. One weird thing I need to share is
about my teacup. I enjoy my after dinner tea (or coffee as my mood suits). I
loved the little tea pot that arrived at the table- very cool but the looseleaf
tea became bitter as it steeped too long and there was no way to remove the tea
leaves from the pot. Ok, back to the teacup - it looked nice and modern but
functionally, it was very hard to hold by the handle when the cup was full, in
fact, I couldn't hold it by the handle, I had to use both hands. . .. but maybe,
now that I am thinking about it, the cup is not meant to be filled and then it
wouldn't be so unbalanced and I could've held it by the handle with one hand. .
. .as you can see, if the worst part of the meal was the teacup hopefully that
evidences the food was amazing and we will come back here again (still madly in
love) in another three years or so.
