Vancouver's Downtown Seawall
|It's world famous and a great place to walk, jog, bike
or rollerblade, there are separated paths for both Bikers and walkers.
|Bike Rentals are located around Denman at Georgia with several places to
choose from Stanley Park Cycle
, Bayshore Rentals,
Spokes Bicycle Rentals, or starting at Canada Place there is
Trevor Lindens Club 16 Seawall Bike Rental.

Go on inside where the Pan
Pacific Hotel, Cruise
Ship Terminal and the
Vancouver Convention Center are
located, with Restaurant, Lounge, Cafe and Gift Shops inside.
Back outside heading west on the Seawall promenade around the Vancouver
Trade and Convention Center there are more Cafes, Coffee Houses and
Restaurants, shops, Trevor Linden Fitness and Mahonys Pub you can also see the
2010 Olympic Torch located on the (southwest side
of the Convention Center)
|Once around the Convention Center on to
Coal Harbour past the
Bayshore Hotel and the Marina with all the
luxury Yachts and Dinner Cruises Boats with and a couple of very nice
Waterfront Restaurants Cardero's
and Lift Bar Grill , carry
on through Harbour Park.
From Here you can choose to end your seawall journey and cross over to
Denman Street and back into downtown Vancouver.
|To carry on on the seawall you will now circle
Stanley Park Seawall which is
about 8.0 km. You can expect awesome views of the
Georgia Strait, the North Shore Mountains and
Stanley Park . A short cut
can be taken here just past the Vancouver Rowing
Club where the Horse Drawn Tours are take the road leading to the
Vancouver Aquarium then to
Lumberman Arch back to the
Seawall, missing out on the Brockton Oval Lighthouse.
If not keep heading on the seawall past the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club,
Discovery island, Totem Poles and the nine o'clock
Gun and to Brockton Point Lighthouse.
Carry on past Lumberman Arch Water Park staying on the seawall walking
under Lions Gate Bridge to
Third Beach, the
Second Beach, Ceperley Playground,
Sunset Beach , Past the
Aquatic Centre under
the Burrard Street Bridge into False
|Once in False Creek you can continue your walk through the
of the seawall with its High end Marina, Condos,
Restaurants and Parks. You can also take the False Creek Ferry or
Aqua Bus to get across the water to any of these
destinations. Look for their Wharfs pay on board.
|Continuing around will bring you to
Science World and then False Creek
Village the 2010 Winter Olympic Athletes Housing
now converted to high end Condos and shops.
Further along you will end up in
Granville Island with it Farmers
Island Hotel and a plethora of
Artisan Craft shops, theatres, Cafes, Pubs, Breweries and Restaurants.
Once you come out of Granville Island same place you went in head west
where you will have to cut up to Creekside Street
to continue on the Walk heading under Burrard Street Bridge To
Vanier Park location
HR MacMillan Space Center,
Museum and Kitsilano and
(Rated one of the top 10 Beaches in the World)
|The total distance of the entire downtown Vancouver seawall is 22 km.
from Canada Place to Kitsilano.
The Seawall is accessible from many different places with Downtown
Vancouver being on a peninsula and the seawall
surrounding it there are many place to enter and exit so don't let the
distances scare you come out and see the spectacular
views of Burrard Inlet, Stanley Park and the North Shore Mountains.
