Top Vancouver Attractions in a day

Suppose you're going to be in Vancouver for the first time -- but only for a day or so before boarding a cruise ship to Alaska or a flight across the Pacific. What should you try to squeeze in while you're in Vancouver? Here are a few suggestions I would recommend to a Visitor pressed for time?
Biking or strolling the seawall in Stanley Park
seawall in Stanley Park
Stanley Park s located in Downtown Vancouver and has beaches, gardens, an  Aquarium, a pitch 'n' putt golf course and forested trails.
The most popular activity there is to walk, Cycle or roller blade the Seawall, a six mile walk that winds around the park and ends were you started.

There are plenty of Bike Rentals at the entrance to Stanley Park. (Georgia and Denman Street)
Granville Island, False Creek and Yaletown.
Although Granville Island is not really an Island and is easily accessible by car. Check out the Aquabus a fleet of boats that carry passengers from Downtown Vancouver to Granville Island and from Granville Island to Yaletown. If you are staying at a Hotel in Downtown Vancouver it is the perfect transport to see a few of the Cities most popular Attractions.

False Creek SeawallFor you walkers you can stroll the False Creek Seawall around from downtown past Yaletown, Edgewater Casino, BC Place Stadium, Science World, the 2010 Olympic Village (now high end Condos) and finally to Granville Island and the Market. A highly entertaining people watching 45 minute walk if you are not easily distracted as there are many Cafes and Restaurants along the way. You may also choose to rent a bike which includes a helmets and a lock.

Granville IslandGranville Island, is centred around the Public Market, and a maze of Artisan Craft shops, Galleries, Theatres and something like 70 places to eat, from food stands to fine dining on the waters edge.

Yaletown is an old warehouse district gone upscale funky with a variety of shops, home furnishings, galleries and Restaurants

Visit Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain
Head over to North Vancouver from Downtown Vancouver by taking the Seabus at the foot of Howe Street. Once over there the public
transit system offers regular service to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and the base of Grouse Mountain every half hour. Catch
Bus 236 from Lonsdale Quay as it stops at both attractions.
Capilano Suspension Bridge
You can visit Capilano Suspension Bridge on the way there or on the way back. At the base of Grouse Mountain you will take an aerial tramway system called Skyride as it will whisk you to the top. At the top there is lots of non ski activities both winter or summer and the views from Grouse Mountain are worth the trip alone.
