We have stayed here several times and they make you feel like you're at home.
Great staff, comfortable accommodations and clean hotel and rooms. Had special
requests and were accommodated without question. The breakfast was adequate.
This hotel has always done good service. Friendly staff. Spotless throughout.
There is no other hotel comparable in this area. My only disappointment --
unavailability due to a large group booking all 160 rooms for the entire hotel
on the Saturday night. The hotel should make a policy to keep 10-15 rooms aside
for traveling business people, visitors to the area and alike. Due to this lack
of availability I had to drive all the way to Langley for my second night in the
area -- as I was not comfortable staying in any other hotel in Abbotsford. Had I
known of this situation I would have likely booked the two nights in Langley
instead. Hindsight is always 50/50. A great hotel however it may need to make
room for weary travelers and not cater entirely to one group.
We just returned from two night stay on the May long weekend. We arrived from
Vernon early Friday, We stopped in to see if we could leave out bags at the
hotel as it was 9:30. The front desk checked and said our room was ready and
waiting for us. As we have two little boys with us that worked great. We even
had enough time to grab a couple muffins and coffee from the breakfast.
We had a room on the front side, but with the a/c on low we never heard any real
noise and slept great.
The room came with a single serve Keuig coffee maker. Our bath room was good,
looks like a newer tub and surround . We had two queen beds and they were OK.
The only thing we thought was lacking was a small fridge.
The pool and hot tub was on the second floor, so just a short walk from our
room. they had large change rooms with showers. The hot tub wasn't real big, but
the first night we were there we had to pool and hot tub to ourselves. If the
weather was rainy I could imagine it getting a little full in there.
The front desk and all the staff were friendly and helpful. One nice thing was
the fresh coffee at the front desk. We would top up our travel mugs as we headed
out the door.
We would recommend staying here. Its location makes it easy access to Abbotsford
or the border crossing at Sumas. There is a Fun center next door, mini golf,
batting cages etc. As well as McDonalds, Tim Horton's. We also stopped in at the
Save on foods which is just around the corner.
Ramada Plaza Abbotsford was a pleasant surprise - nice clean rooms, courteous
and efficient staff, tasty food. I had a very nice stay and found this venue a
real value as room rates were reasonable, rooms were large, the pool and fitness
facilities were handy, the conference area had good acoustics, ample space and
very tasty food. Staff all around were top notch.
Location is perfect; close to the highway and outside of metro Vancouver, so
heading East in the morning, we were able to bypass extra traffic.
Room was very clean and the front desk even offered us a choice in room
location, as some of them face the highway and can apparently be noisier. We
chose the highway side and it wasn't bad at all, but we very much appreciated
the option to switch rooms without a hassle.
Special note: The lady taking care of the continental breakfast was super
friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her very much :)
